Modern workstation management at CUPT

Published: 22 April 2026

Client

Centrum Unijnych Projektów Transportowych (CUPT) is a public sector institution responsible for the implementation and supervision of key infrastructure projects in Poland, co-financed by European Union funds.
The scale of CUPT's operations requires a stable, secure, and fully controlled IT environment that supports the work of hundreds of users.

Challenge

The organization's growth and increasing requirements for security and efficiency meant that the existing computer management environment required modernization. The client needed:

  • updating the existing SCCM environment to the latest version,
  • maintaining user productivity and existing configurations,
  • standardizing the processes for deploying systems, applications, and updates,
  • strengthening workstation security,
  • and above all — building internal competencies that will allow the IT team to manage the environment independently in the future.

Solution

We designed and implemented a comprehensive deployment of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), covering both the delivery of licenses and full implementation support. A key element of the project was not only launching a modern tool but also organizing and automating daily IT processes, such as:

  • fast deployment of new computers,
  • hardware replacement without loss of user data,
  • centralized application management,
  • automatic operating system updates,
  • securing workstations with BitLocker encryption.

An integral part of the project was extensive practical workshops, thanks to which the CUPT IT team gained real, practical skills in managing the MECM environment — from day-to-day administration and monitoring to troubleshooting and platform development.

Effects

The completed implementation brought measurable benefits to the client:

  • Faster and repeatable computer deployment — a ready workstation available in significantly less time
  • Greater control and security — central management of updates, applications, and data encryption
  • Less manual work — automation of key IT processes
  • Stable and scalable environment ready for the future growth of the organization
  • IT team independence — knowledge and competencies allowing for the maintenance and development of the solution without reliance on external support

The project was completed on schedule, and the final solution meets both the formal requirements and the real operational needs of CUPT.

Summary

The implementation of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager at CUPT is an example of a project where technology became real support for the organization — increasing security, efficiency, and comfort for end users, while simultaneously strengthening the IT team's competencies.

Client Quote

"The implementation of the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager solution has significantly improved the daily work of the IT team at CUPT and organized the processes related to workstation management. Moving to a modern, centrally managed tool allowed for the standardization of administrative activities, reduction of manual tasks, and a decrease in the time required to prepare and maintain user workstations.
A significant benefit of the implementation is also the improvement in the quality and predictability of update processes. Central management of operating systems and applications enables efficient planning, testing, and deployment of patches, which directly translates into increased environment stability and reduction of operational risks.
From the organization's perspective, increasing the security level is also of key importance, including through update automation, the implementation of consistent configuration policies, and widespread data encryption on workstations. The solution provides better control over the endpoint environment and supports the fulfillment of data protection and information security requirements.
The training workshops were of great value to the project, allowing the IT team to gain practical competencies in the administration and further development of the platform. As a result, CUPT gained not only a modern tool but also independence in its maintenance and expansion, which in the long term translates into greater organizational flexibility and more effective use of resources."
